Police Arrested a Dutch Bird for its Part in a Robbery

In 2019, police arrested a sneaky bird spotted in the scene of a robbery in Utrecht, Netherlands and then they measured a punishment for it.

The police in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, discover the “sneaky witness” when arresting robbers.

Its picture was posted on the Utrecht police page on Instagram in September 2019. The caption that accompanied the photo read “We recently arrested a suspect for shoplifting.

“A tiny parakeet bird was held in a jail cell in the Netherlands after its owner was arrested for shoplifting. As the adorable avian was a partner-in-crime, sitting atop the man’s shoulder when he violated the law, the cops arrested the offender as well as his feathery friend.”

During the arrest, we found a sneaky witness with feathers and beak on the suspect’s shoulder.”

“Sharing the photo of the yellow and green bird seated in a cell, the Politie Utrecht Centrum on Instagram joked, “We recently arrested a suspect for a shoplifting. During the arrest we found a sneaky witness with feathers and beak on the suspect’s shoulder.”

The police after arresting the bird gave it water to energize it to get him to the station.

The news organization, RTV Utrecht covered the bird’s face to keep its identity while reporting on the bird’s arrest. Nothing has been heard from the bird, but the police in their statement said:

“During the confinement on our desk, we were shocked to find out that we are not in possession of a bird cell or cage. After proper consultation with the suspect, we have enclosed them together,” and was also revealed that the bird was being “well cared for”.

The story generated reactions from Twitter users and different media had shared the picture of the feathery suspect with a black bar on its face to cover its identity.

Bird lovers on the internet advocated that the bird should be freed on time, some found it hilarious and others had negative reactions to it
