There is a new penguin at the Milwaukee County Zoo. On December 21, a Gentoo penguin was born and had its first exam the same day. When it is one to three months old, a blood sample will be taken to determine its gender.
It currently lacks a name. On the day it was hatched, the chick only weighed 107 grams. Gentoos are listed as stable in the wild and are native to Antarctica. According to the zoo, the birds are very active and curious.
