KU Leuven: Global Minds Doctoral Scholarships Programme 2024 APPLY NOW!

KU Leuven annually selects outstanding students from developing countries for its Global Minds Doctoral Scholarships Programme as part of its commitment to development cooperation.

Administered by IRO, the university’s Interfaculty Council for Development Cooperation, the program aims to provide exceptional students the opportunity to pursue their PhD at the largest university in Belgium.

The scholarship involves a ‘sandwich’ system where 50% of the research occurs at KU Leuven, and the remaining 50% takes place at the student’s home institution, supported by a local co-promoter. The resulting PhD degree is awarded by KU Leuven.
