1903: British Conquered Northern Nigeria

The mud-walled city of Kano in Northern Nigeria was captured by the British on February 3rd, 1903. They subjugated Northern Nigeria after a British resident of Southern Nigeria was killed and his murderer escaped North.

Once Kano fell, the leaders of the various tribes of Northern Nigeria, therefore, agreed to indirect British control.
